   Mar 8, 2010 · The theory is to run the head unit through the Bose amp, for now (according to Critchfield's web-site, this should work), and later replace the crappy Bose 1 ohm speakers, add some Dynamat, and connect these directly to the head unit.

   Mar 8, 2010 · The original (2ohm) door speaker and (4 ohm) pillar tweeter are connected in parallel - so they combine to a 1.33 ohm pair. If you just install a door speaker at 4 ohm you are greatly increasing the resistance and will need to increase the volume.

   Mar 8, 2010 · It might be assumed the speakers you have are the discontinued Boston Acoustics S65RC 6-1/2" 2-way car speakers. I don't know if they will fit in w/o drilling a hole, or more, or not. Even with them provided with so many multiple mounting holes there's limited prospect they will.
