Mar 8, 2010 · The original (2ohm) door speaker and (4 ohm) pillar tweeter are connected in parallel - so they combine to a 1.33 ohm pair. If you just install a door speaker at 4 ohm you are greatly increasing the resistance and will need to increase the volume. The M800 speakers are 4 ohm.

They come with an adapter that has one end that plugs into the stock wiring harness in the door and the other side plugs into the speaker. For sound, mine sounded a bit clearer than the stock speakers with the stock NC headunit but really woke up with an aftermarket headunit. I have the M-600's, M-800's just handle more power.
