- 1 Monster Hunter: World. Monster Hunter: World released for Xbox One and PS4 in early 2018, before later releasing for PC in the same year. The game was met with critical acclaim and was particularly praised for its balance between staying true to its roots while adapting gameplay to make it more accessible for new fans.
- 2 Monster Hunter Rise. Monster Hunter Rise is releasing for Nintendo Switch on March 26th, 2021, and hopes to build on the success of Monster Hunter: World.

- Monster Hunter World. Taking our number one spot is Monster Hunter World, the fifth title of the mainline Monster Hunter games. Released for the PS4 and Xbox One in 2018, this game has all of the mechanics that fans of the series love but makes some notable improvements.
- Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Okay, so, Icebourne is an expansion pack for Monster Hunter World, but it deserves its own spot on our list for reasons we’ll explain below.
- Monster Hunter Rise. Monster Hunter Rise came to the Nintendo Switch in 2021, introducing many new features and mechanics that fans instantly loved. While it still follows a similar path as previous titles, there is a new companion, the Palamute, that can be used to traverse the map or ride into battle.
- Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Originally released in Japan as Monster Hunter 4 in 2013, this title debuted internationally as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in 2015.
- Monster Hunter Stories (3DS) - 79. Despite the Monster Hunter name, Monster Hunter Stories for the 3DS features very different gameplay from the main series titles and allows the player the opportunity to befriend monsters rather than just hunt them down.
- Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (Switch) - 80. The Monster Hunter series debuted on the Nintendo Switch with this HD port of the expanded re-release of Monster Hunter Generations for the 3DS.
- Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin (Switch) - 81. The follow-up to Monster Hunter's charming spin-off for the 3DS, Wings of Ruin brings the fun of raising and befriending monsters to the Nintendo Switch in the second Monster Hunter Stories game.
- Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Wii U) - 82. Though the console is mostly remembered for its relative lack of content, there are plenty of Wii U games that are still fun to play and one of these was the enhanced edition of the third game in the Monster Hunter series.
