Plot. San Francisco socialite Helen Brent has established residence in Reno, Nevada in order to obtain a divorce decree and is lodging in a boarding house owned by the feisty Mrs. Kraft.
Synopsis. Upon receiving a divorce in Reno, Helen Trent (Claire Trevor) plans to return to San Francisco and goes back to the boarding house where she is renting a room from boozy landlady Mrs. Kraft (Esther Howard) but discovers two dead bodies in the kitchen.
