  4. The Bullingdon Hundred originated in Saxon times. The Domesday Book of 1086 records here that two Hundreds were attached to the royal manor of Headington (“duorum HUNDREDORUM soca pertinentes huic manerio”). One of these Hundreds was Bullingdon, and Headington sat right in the middle of it.
