Welcome to Camden, Delaware. The history of this community can be traced to the 1780s, when members of the Mifflin family began dividing their lands into lots. Much of this land was originally a part of the tract known as Brecknock, which was granted to Alexander Humphreys in 1680.

Camden, Delaware. Coordinates: 39°06′48″N 75°32′31″W. Camden is a town in Kent County, Delaware, United States. It is part of the Dover, Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 3,715 in 2020. History. Camden was established in 1783 as a community originally known as Mifflin's Crossroads. [3] .
The Town of Wyoming is proud to be able to maintain a park located on the banks of the Wyoming Pond. The park is open year round and is equipped with playground equipment, restrooms, picnic tables and grills, and a large pavilion.
By 1860 Wyoming had grown into a small village and was variously called “Camden Station” or “West Camden.” In 1865 the Reverend John J. Pierce, of the Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania, came to “West Camden” and laid it out in building lots.
Delaware Route 10 runs east–west along the southeastern edge of Wyoming on Caesar Rodney Avenue, heading west through rural western Kent County to the Maryland border and east along Camden Wyoming Avenue through Camden toward an intersection with U.S. Route 13 and Dover Air Force Base.
