Caroline Williams (November 10, 1908 - 1988) was an artist from Cincinnati, Ohio renowned and celebrated for her ‘A Spot in Cincinnati’ series of sketches, which appeared in the Cincinnati Enquirer from 1932 until 1979.
Williams knew it well, and her descriptions helped the reader to see the city how she saw it. She was a gifted writer as well as an artist. Williams was an amazing woman, and worked as a sketch artist at the Cincinnati Enquirer from 1932 until her death in 1988.

Oct 15, 2021 · Emulating Caroline Williams — Billiter Studio. For years I have admired the work of Cincinnati artist Caroline Williams. Per pen-and-ink drawings as well as her engravings helped capture a Cincinnati transforming during the mid-twentieth century. For this polyester litho plate I used a Bic ballpoint pen to create very small, gestural marks.
