Cast in Stone is the ninth album by British heavy metal band Venom, and their first album in 12 years to feature the original lineup. Recorded at Lartington Hall Studios near Barnard Castle, it was released on SPV/Steamhammer in 1997. It is the last Venom album to feature Abaddon on drums.

I wouldn’t recommend Cast in Stone to anybody wanting to get into Venom. This is mainly for Venom fans but it’s a very nice deal, with the added second disk and a nice package including a mini poster, pentagram and all. Highlights are Evil One, Raised in Hell, Bleeding, and Flight of the Hyrda. Venom fans rejoice.

Nov 13, 2020 · Ultimately, you go to a Venom album expecting a few simple things - a raw and dirty sound, fast-paced thrashy songs, and a real fun time, and Cast In Stone delivers all three just as much as Welcome to Hell or Black Metal did.
