Jan 11, 2012 · The other is goes behind the cooler to the water pump manifold. You have have a short hose from the water pump to the thermostat housing that's tough to see the whole thing on an Acert. If it seals up when it warms up, it could just be a cold water leak, meaning tighten the clamps.

Jul 16, 2012 · I have a 2004 cat 420d with a coolant leak, it is leaking behind the front gear plate. You only see it start leaking when you rev the engine to a higher rpm. Looking for anyone that has seen this problem or has a service manual they would like to sell. Take a good look at the water pump.
