Feb 2, 2023 · The Rt Revd David Urquhart has been announced as the new Bishop to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, taking over from Bishop Emma Ineson who has been appointed Bishop of Kensington.
The 12th and current bishop, the Right Reverend Anne B. Jolly was ordained and consecrated as bishop in April 2023. The Diocese of Ohio consists of the 48 counties of northern Ohio, an area approximately 170 miles wide by 95 miles deep, encompassing roughly 15,000 square miles.
The archbishop of Canterbury is the senior bishop and a principal leader of the Church of England, the ceremonial head of the worldwide Anglican Communion and the bishop of the Diocese of Canterbury. The current archbishop is Justin Welby, who was enthroned at Canterbury Cathedral on 21 March 2013.
