There is a boat launch here for launching boats right onto the bay. Kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders put in here as well and there are rentals on site. Atascadero Creek and Goleta Slough come together and flow to the ocean just east of the beach park.

Goleta Beach has seen better days. The tides have been hard on the beach as it's very rocky now. The seaside features tables and restrooms. There used to be a restaurant but it closed recently. It will probably reopen. The bottom line is that it is not a real pretty beach. There is a fair amount of parking.

Goleta Beach Park. Known for its long fishing pier and sunbathing beaches, these 29 acres are often a destination for bicyclists on the area's paved trail system.
The Goleta Pier boat launch is available for public use on weekends and holidays. The park's resident ranger must be in attendance to facilitate the launch. Other amenities include the Beachside Bar Cafe, restrooms, volley ball courts, horseshoes, seasonal lifeguards, and large areas for group picnics provide plenty of amenities.
Boat Launch. The Goleta Pier boat launch is available for public use on weekends and holidays. The park's resident ranger must be in attendance to facilitate the launch. Boat owners are allowed to drive out on the pier under the ranger's guidance to launch their boats. Boats may not exceed 8000 pounds or 22 feet in length.
