Jul 17, 2022 · After breakfast this morning I cycled to Dundonald, County Down, formerly a village on the eastern outskirts of Belfast. A parish in the barony of Lower Castlereagh. The surface is gently hilly, consists of excellent land, and is traversed by the roads from Comber and Newtownards to Belfast.
In boundary changes proposed by a review in 1995, the seat exchanged territory with Strangford, losing the Dundonald area from Castlereagh and gaining a part of Ards . The seat now contains the entirety of North Down district as well as Donaghadee and Millisle in Ards.
