Esmond Penington Knight (4 May 1906 – 23 February 1987) was an English actor. He had a successful stage and film career before World War II . For much of his later career Knight was half-blind.

Esmond Knight (1906–1987) Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Actor, singer and recreational painter, born in East Sheen, Surrey. He was educated at Westminster School and made his first appearance professionally at the Old Vic in 1925. He made his first film appearance in 1931 and then established a career in television.
