This is a minor point, but the page shows that the final line of FSHS' fight song is "Fight for ol' FSH". I believe that when the fight song was written, the school was more often referred to as "Fairmont High School" rather than "Fairmont Senior High School", and as such, the original lyrics were "Fight for ol' FHS". Timothy S. “Tim” Cutlip, 55, of Bridgeport, WV and formally Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born in Fairmont on December 5, 1967, a son of Harry and Jeanette Cutlip of Elkins. Tim was a 1986 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School.
About Us. The Polar Bear Band has proudly represented Fairmont Senior High School and its traditions for many years. The band is considered the heart of Fairmont Senior and an embodiment of Polar Bear Pride. It and its contributors strive to create an environment for high school students to develop as students, as musicians, and as people.
