QUICK TAKE: Dramedy: Various people try to contend with the various curveballs that life and especially love and relationships throw their way. PLOT: Harry Scott (MORGAN FREEMAN) is a professor who, due to a family tragedy, is on an extended leave of absence from the university where he works.
In "Feast of Love," however, Freeman plays a professor named Harry Scott, forced to contend with confused lovers who don't know, or can't reveal, their own hearts. He lives in Portland, in a long and happy marriage with Esther ( Jane Alexander ).
It also lifts up the ideas of having children, family and finding the right person to marry. Thus, the movie’s worldview is somewhat mixed, but mostly favors a pagan philosophy with occult mysticism about life and love, and a vague concept of God without reference to biblical revelation.
