Gene Autry is a town in Carter County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 154 at the time of the 2020 census, down just slightly from the 158 reported in the 2010 census. It is part of the Ardmore, Oklahoma Micropolitan Statistical Area.
An incorporated community in eastern Carter County, Gene Autry is situated south of State Highway 53, seventeen miles northeast of Ardmore and ninety-five miles south of Oklahoma City. The town was originally called Lou, but its name was changed three times between 1883 and 1941.
