To get to Goleta Beach County Park, visitors should get on Highway 217 then take the exit to Sandspit Road. There are also bike paths that lead from downtown to the park, and a city bus stops at the park, too.
Goleta Beach Park is a county-run facility on a sand spit near the University of California Santa Barbara campus, the Santa Barbara Airport, and the city of Goleta. The beach at this park is much narrower than it used to be, but you’ll find enough sand for sunbathing, especially by the pier and restaurant building if you get there early.

A paved bike path at the park goes all the way to Santa Barbara. Hiking trails lead to Campus Point Beach and the beaches in Isla Vista. Goleta Pier provides boaters, fishermen, and families out for a stroll, an engaging view of the Pacific coast.
Although Goleta beach Park is far from the nicest beach on California's Central Coast, it is very family friendly, scenic with lined palm trees, a clear view of the Channel Islands and a fishing pier (called More's Landing that was first built in 1874!) that makes it picture perfect.
