The 8,000 acre Refuge, located in Morris County, New Jersey, provides excellent recreational opportunities for visitors as well as protecting valuable habitat for wildlife.
It is open Tuesday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Thursday – Sunday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Check the “Refuge Status Report” on the Home Page for current operating hours. Exhibits demonstrate the variety of habitats and wildlife that can be seen at Great Swamp NWR.
