The Scout Movement in Spain consists of about 30 independent associations, most of them active on the regional level. Due to the regionalisation of Spain, even the larger nationwide associations are divided into regional sub-associations with individual emblems, uniforms and Scout programs.
There are now three main Scout Associations in Spain; Scouts de Espana (ASDE) Movimiento Scout Catalico (MSC) Federacia Catalana d'Escoultisme i Guiatge (FCEG). In November 1974 the three Associations formally established the Federacion de Escultismo en Espana (The Federation of Scouting in Spain).

The Federación de Scouts-Exploradores de España (ASDE, Federation of Spanish Scouts/Explorers) is a Spanish Scout association. It is one of the members of the Federación de Escultismo en España and thus of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. It serves 31,458 members (as of 2006).

Development of the Movement. Guiding began in San Sebastián in 1929, and soon afterwards groups of Guides appeared elsewhere in the country, including Zaragoza, Valencia and Madrid. Activities were organised and coordinated by the Asociación de las Guías de España.
