    In Greek mythology, Iapetus (/ aɪ ˈ æ p ɪ t ə s /; eye-AP-ih-təs; Ancient Greek: Ἰαπετός, romanized: Iapetós), also Japetus, is a Titan, the son of Uranus and Gaia and father of Atlas, Prometheus, Epimetheus, and Menoetius.
