Jul 15, 2023 · One of the best things to do in Beaufort is enjoy a beach day! The most popular beach to head to in the area is Radio Island Public Beach which is a low-key, long sandy beach with calm water that attracts swimmers, bodyboarding, sunbathers & anglers.
It is sometimes confused with a city of the same name in South Carolina; the two are distinguished by different pronunciations. Beaufort is located in North Carolina's "Inner Banks" region.
