  1. Academics are good, just don’t be introverted or different. A lot of students are stuck in high school and you lose out on opportunities if you don’t fit in. Upsides good school (highly ranked with a lot of good Professors) good price, good community of people.

  2. Both schools are what you make of them, Pitt has the advantage in school pride and sports, Bing has actual nature and better class sizes. It was also significantly cheaper and closer to home for me so getting home for breaks was easier.

  3. Binghamton is ranked like #2 for best value schools. It very much is. I don’t think you could possibly beat the level of education for the price. As far as campus life it’s very much what you decide to make of it.

  4. Best: Academically a very good school. Plenty of on-campus activities and clubs, so chances are you'll be able to meet people with similar interests. We're also upstate, so if you're big on nature/outdoorsy stuff there's a ton to do in the spring and fall within an hour's drive.

  5. Sorry for the long comment, TLDR Binghamton is a good school and nice campus with pretty dull city life, Buffalo is a big campus with a lively city attached, but good luck getting anywhere without a car.
