A good case in point would be using the wizard's guild basement to cast this as you high alch any garbage in your inventory or something that provides a break-even point for your nature runes. Seeing how effective it was, I thought it would be a good idea to try it on other monsters.

Scaling on combat level of the target would probably make crumble undead the best way to level magic at low levels assuming there's some decent targets for it.
Crumble Undead is a unique combat spell found in the standard spellbook.
