Ok, so I finished watching The Good Wife for the first time and I have some thoughts that I wanted to share and maybe discuss with other fans if anyone is up to it :) I wished Cary and Alicia really became friends and we saw more scenes with them. I agree that The Good Wife gets pretty close to those aforementioned “greats”, especially when you consider the fact that they had to churn out 22 fucking episodes a year on average. Of course Deadwood, Wire and BB are excellent- but they also had the time to be.

At the end of the series finale, Alicia remarks to mental-Will that Jason is "a boy" because he wants things loosely attached. But this is, I think, a point of the show (if shows have points anymore, and I think this one does and it has several). Duty has a cost, as does desire.
