Blizzard Albany, formerly known as Vicarious Visions, is a video game developer founded by brothers Guha and Karthik Bala in 1990. They are the developers of Skylanders: Swap Force, Skylanders: SuperChargers, and Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure (for the 3DS). Vicarious Visions also developed three iOS and Android Skylanders games: Skylanders: Cloud Patrol, Skylanders: Lost Islands and Skylanders: Battlegrounds, as well as ported Skylanders: Giants to the Wii U. The company also developed the Thumpin' Wumpa Islands Adventure Pack as well as the gameplay for Crash Bandicoot and Dr. Neo Cortex in Skylanders: Imaginators.
On January 22, 2021, it was announced that Vicarious Visions will be merged with Blizzard Entertainment to develop Blizzard titles going forward. They finished the merge with Blizzard on April 12, 2022, and the studio was renamed to Blizzard Albany.
