The film, seen also by two hotel porters who secretly have followed Jayne to her room, fails to convince the professor of her thesis--that love is universally primitive, affecting "civilized" man in much the same way it does "primitive." To prove her point, Jayne performs a striptease, which powerfully affects the professor as well as the porters.
