Jul 2, 2021 · Jesse Brittain said Wednesday that his family had retained attorneys Devon Jacob and Benjamin Crump, who represented Floyd's family. Both are nationally recognized civil-rights attorneys.

The civil rights attorneys, who also represented George Floyd’s family after Minneapolis police killed him in May 2020, said: “Hunter deserved better.”
