Johann Kaspar Schiller (27 October 1723 – 7 September 1796) was an army officer and court gardener to the Dukes of Württemberg. He and his wife Elisabetha Dorothea are also notable as the parents of the playwright Friedrich Schiller .

Dort starb Johann Caspar Schiller am 7. September 1796. In das Gedächtnis der Nachwelt hat er sich als despotischer Vater des Dichterfürsten Friedrich Schiller eingeschrieben, Kenner sehen in ihm aber vor allem den vorausschauenden Wegbereiter der modernen Landwirtschaft.
Väterlicherseits stammt die Familie von Vorfahren ab, die als württembergische Weinbauern, Bäcker, Gastwirte und Küfer im Remstal leben, und von denen einige über mehrere Generationen hinweg das Schultheißenamt ausüben. Auch der Vater von Johann Caspar, Johannes Schiller (1682 - 1730) übt das Amt neben seinem Beruf als Bäcker aus.
