  2. Johann Peter Salomon (20 February 1745 [baptized] – 28 November 1815) was a German violinist, composer, conductor and musical impresario. Although an accomplished violinist, he is best known for bringing Joseph Haydn to London and for conducting the symphonies that Haydn wrote during his stay in England.

  3. Johann Peter Salomon Both a violinist and impresario, he was a friend of Ludwig van Beethoven and brought Franz Joseph Haydn to England in 1791 to introduce his symphonies. He co-founded the Philharmonic Society in London in 1813, and died in the same city on 28 November 1815.
