King of Kensington is a Canadian television sitcom which aired on CBC Television from 1975 to 1980. [ 1] Synopsis. Al Waxman starred as Larry King, a convenience store owner in Toronto 's Kensington Market who was known for helping friends and neighbours solve problems.
It's a brave new world when Larry takes on the job of Recreation Director at Kensington Community Centre, and Gladys and Jack return from their honeymoon ready for a divorce. Gwen is introduced as the Program Director for the Centre.
