    Dr. Kip Stephen Thorne (born June 1, 1940) is a theoretical astrophysicist and Nobel laureate, known for his work in gravitational physics. Dr. Thorne is the Caltech Feynman Professor of Theoretical Physics, Emeritus and one of the world's foremost experts on the astrophysical implications of Einstein's general theory of relativity.
