The International Center conducts short-term intensive English, Chinese and French courses abroad for Komazawa University students. The programs for these intensive courses are sponsored by foreign universities that have an official agreement with Komazawa University.

To qualify, the applicants must fall under any of the following requirements. The applicants who do not satisfy the requirements below must take *the Preliminary Qualification Screening. If you have any doubt for the qualification for application, please contact us in advance.
The applicants who graduated from a junior college, a college of technology, a specialized school or other educational institution must take this screening before the entrance examination. The eligibility for applicants is examined based on the submitted documents. (There is also an interview in some divisions.)
The applicants must register own information through the website and mail the required documents to the Admission Center, the University Information Bureau. If you apply from abroad, please ensure the required documents arrives no later than the due date.
The applicants must take a written examination or/and oral examination in Japanese. (The examination subjects are different for each Division.) The examination is held twice a year, in September and in February.
Komazawa University ( 駒澤大学, Komazawa Daigaku), abbreviated as 駒大 Komadai, is one of the oldest universities in Japan. Its history starts in 1592, when a seminary was established to be a center of learning for the young monks of the Sōtō sect, one of the two main Zen Buddhist traditions in Japan .
The university is located in Komazawa, Setagaya, which is well known as a University and residential area and is about 20 minutes from the center of Tokyo, one of the biggest cities in the world. The university is also next to the Tokyo Olympic Memorial Park, so the campus is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees and other plant life.
