False Rape Accusation: In order to have Andrew all to herself, Dr. Stanton went to his girlfriend's parents and falsely claimed that Andrew sexually assaulted her. This allowed her to argue that Andrew needed to be in a psychiatric hospital rather than prison, giving her the chance to use drugs and manipulation in order to maintain control of him.

Dr. Fran Stanton was a psychiatrist who falsely mistreated patient Andrew Hingham for schizophrenia when she was subjecting him to sexual abuse.
When a twelve year old Andrew Hingham saw Stanton, she took advantage of his vulnerability and sexually abused him for years, claiming he had schizophrenia to continue the encounters. She eventually fell pregnant with his child. Stanton pressured Andrew to help her raise their child by stating he'd be no different from his own father if he left them.
Unable to bear raising a child, Andrew fell behind in school and was sent to summer school where he met a girl named Mallory Sidwell who he fell for, and it was reciprocated. They became a couple, soon pursuing a sexual relationship. However, Stanton had gave birth to his son and filled with jealously towards Mallory, filed a false report of rape on Andrew and told Sidwell's parents about her status as the "victim", further holding him captive in Stanton's regimens and separating Hingham and Sidwell from each other.
Apr 7, 2010 · Later, Huang has Dr. Stanton at SVU and asks her about Mallory Sidwell. She says the sexual assault occurred with the onset of his schizophrenia, and is shocked when she sees Mallory is there. Huang tells her that Mallory claims the sex was consensual.
