We are looking at Bay Area houses and cannot decide where to live. We are also thinking if we should move to Seattle as both of our employers have office there. Houses seem affordable compared to the Bay Area. There is also lower property tax reducing monthly cash flow.

I want to move to Seattle after I get my bs degree. I’ve lived in the Bay Area my whole life (north bay) and wanted to know what were similarities and differences you saw between the two places? Edit: Seattle sounds like the perfect place for me according to the way you all described it.
The people who live in those homes wield the most influence in the city. Beyond making an appeal to the social or moral correctness of upzoning the city, it’s probably necessary to make some case for why it would benefit them directly in order for the idea to have a chance of surviving and becoming policy.
Of the two, I prefer San Francisco overall, despite its many shortcomings (cost of living, homelessness, crime). I like that in Seattle my quality life is higher and I feel significantly safer walking down the street.
