Louise Cromwell (born Henrietta Louise Cromwell; September 24, 1890 – May 30, 1965) was an American socialite whose four marriages included seven years as the first wife of General of the Army Douglas MacArthur. She was "considered one of Washington's most beautiful and attractive young women".

Throughout the 1920s, MacArthur served in a variety of roles, including as the president of the American Olympic Committee. After he and Louise divorced in 1929, MacArthur became chief of staff of the U.S. Army.
He also managed to get married -- to Louise Cromwell Brooks, a vivacious flapper and heiress very different from her spit-and-polish second husband.
