The Mary Todd Lincoln House, located in downtown Lexington, Kentucky was the family home of the wife of 16th president Abraham Lincoln. In 1977, the home opened to the public and became the first house museum in America to honor a First Lady.

Mary Todd Lincoln House in Lexington, Kentucky, USA, was the girlhood home of Mary Todd, the future first lady and wife of the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln. Today the fourteen-room house is a museum containing period furniture, portraits, and artifacts from the Todd and Lincoln families.
A photo album of the upstairs is available for visitors who are unable to or choose not to tour the upstairs. A large-print document of all exhibit labels is available at the admissions area for any visitor who wishes to use it.
First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln resided in this fashionable brick residence between the ages of thirteen and twenty-one, and Abraham Lincoln was a guest here following their marriage. Personal articles from the Lincoln and Todd families are on display and a restored garden is located in the rear.
