Jessica Priest (played by Melinda Clarke) is a C.I.A Agent in the movie Spawn (1997). In appearance she seems to work for U.S government but in reality she is a dangerous psychopath killer who loves to humiliate and make suffer her victims before death. Jessica is part of a conspiracy within the CIA.
Jessica Priest appears as the top rank assassin like a "super predator" with unmatched skills and abilities with firearms.
Jessica first appears in Wynn's office at A-6 Headquarters while he talks to Simmons about the airport kill zone. Simmons tells Wynn to have Jessica do his dirty work and tries to quit. Wynn gives him his file, listing him as a borderline psychopath and killing machine. Before he arranges for Simmons' transfer, he has him do one last operation: North Korean refinery secretly producing biological weapons and carefully destroy all biochemical viruses.
Once Simmons reaches the biochemical, he sees planned bombs all over the place. Wynn appears and is questioned by Simmons. Wynn claims that priorities have changed and that if the virus is released it would kill 8,000 townspeople. Simmons tries to shoot Wynn but is shot by Jessica. Priest sprays gasoline on Simmons and Wynn throws a cigarette at him, setting the soldier on fire and the plant explodes.
At A-6 Headquarters, Wynn is seen watching the news in which Terry Fitzgerald is talking to XNN Anchor Natalie Ford about the CIA only acting to protect the government's economic interests in the regions of conflict. He reveals to Priest that the Heat-16 is ready and plans to take over the world.
At the party, Terry and Wynn are informed about a break-in at the A-6's armory. As Wynn attempts to leave the party, Spawn appears from the roof and attacks Wynn. After realizing that Spawn is Simmons, Wynn informs Priest about the situation and orders her to kill Spawn.
•Melinda Clarke's other villainous roles include Amanda Collins from Nikita, Velasca from Xena: Warrior Princess, and a Siren from Charmed.
•Jessica Priest was created for the movie to replace Chapel from Rob Liefeld's Youngblood comics due to it not being able to secure the rights for Chapel, and Priest was eventually introduced in the comics and retconned as Al Simmons' killer.
