The visitor center had some interesting Mercedes-Benz models on display and a small gift shop for guests while waiting for the tour to begin. We were transported to Plant 1 in a small van. Each person was offered safety glasses and a headset so that the tour guide could be heard.

There are a few neat things in the gift shop if you are a Benz fan. You ride a van to the Visitor Entrance and then walk through the plant with the guide and a security guard at the end of the line. You can take pictures in the museum area but not in the plant. We had 2 in wheelchairs on our tour.
