Twenty one-year-old Port Orange, Florida driver Michael Lira began racing in ARCA competition in 2013, finishing a career-best 7th at Salem. After four starts in 2013 and 11 more in 2014, he has collected multiple top-ten finishes and a career best qualifying effort of 4th in his superspeedway debut at Pocono.
