    Hill began his professional career in 1995 as a sports director at WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, Maryland. Later the same year Mike Hill landed a job as an anchor for KSEE-TV in Fresno, California. In 1997 he started to cover high school football for WKRN-TV, which earned him two Emmy Awards. He moved on to work as a host for Fox Sports Net in New York City in 2002 and worked there for the next two years.

    Mike Hill worked at KXAS-TV as a sports anchor from 2002 to 2004 before moving on to host with ESPN from 2004 to 2013. At ESPN Hill hosted a variety of shows including SportsCenter, ESPN First Take, NFL Live, Baseball Tonight, Highlight Express, etc.

    Since August 2013 Mike Hill has been working for Fox Sports 1 (FS1). For the channel, he has guest-hosted Fox Sports Live and Fox Football Daily and covered college basketball.
