Miss Christina (Romanian: Domnișoara Christina) is a 1936 novella by the Romanian writer Mircea Eliade. It tells the story of the attraction between a female strigoi—an undead human from Romanian folklore—and a young man who visits the house she haunts.
The novel tells the story of painter Egor Pașchievici, who visits the Moscu family mansion, invited by Sanda, Mrs Moscu's eldest daughter, to whom he intends to become engaged. The mansion is haunted by a strigoi, Miss Christina, Mrs Moscu's sister, who was killed during the 1907 Revolt.
