In Mom, the life of a reporter (Miller) goes off the rails when his mother (Jeanne Bates) is transformed into a flesh eating monster by her newest tenant (Brion James). It's an offbeat horror comedy with a similar tone to The Vagrant, only the familial angst, perversion and commentary is very surface level - making for a simple creature feature.
