Burden of Proof is the 7th episode of NCIS Season 15 and the 337th episode of the entire NCIS series.
After a convicted felon swears the NCIS agency framed him for murder a decade ago, Gibbs begins his own investigation, starting with a new autopsy by Ducky while Fornell joins the team since he was the lead investigator in the original joint FBI and NCIS case.
•As a result of Gibbs's testimony at Gabriel Hicks retrial, Fornell is fired from the FBI.
