Park Cytadela (Polish for citadel) in Poznań (western Poland) is a large park on the site of Fort Winiary, a 19th-century fortified area north of the city centre. It contains a military museum, military cemeteries, and the remains of some of the fortifications. It lies within the Stare Miasto district of the city, south of Winogrady .

Now it is a huge park, with two military museums, various monuments & sculptures, remnants of the original 19th century fortifications (Fort Winiary, later known as Poznan’s Citadel) and several cemeteries, where Polish, Soviet, German and British Commonwealth soldiers are buried.

Sept 2022. The Cytadela park has quite a few surprises. Due to its size, you need time to get to its attractions - fresh air is a definite side benefit. Besides the usual lawns, ponds, flowers and trees, there's a cemetery, tall bell tower, funky sculptures and a military museum.
