Her first vivid memory was not a typical memory of a child but one that involved the world of colors and creativity. She was just a little girl when she first stepped into her father’s paint shop.

Winning the art contest on the back of the CRISPY CRITTERS cereal box proved there was a big future for me in the Art world. At age 10, coming home from Sacred Heart elementary and finding that Major Award, a printing press in a box with MY NAME ON IT, validated me. No doubt about it, there wasn’t hot lunch poster contest I couldn’t win.

Patti Heid graduated with a BA in Fine Arts in 1975 from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has had solo exhibitions at the Triton Art Museum and Brendan Walter Gallery in addition to many other solo and group exhibitions from Los Angeles to New York. Patti Heid has also been honored with numerous public art pieces/commissions.
