Philippine Braille or Filipino Braille is the braille alphabet of the Philippines. Besides Filipino ( Tagalog ), essentially the same alphabet is used for Ilocano, Cebuano, Hiligaynon and Bicol.
The letter ⠻ for ñ is shared with Basque Braille (which has no additional letters) and with Guarani Braille (which does). It is not, however, used for the languages of the Philippines, which instead use an accent dot of English Braille with n , ⠈ ⠝ , for ñ .
English Braille, also known as Grade 2 Braille, is the braille alphabet used for English. It consists of around 250 letters , numerals, punctuation, formatting marks, contractions, and abbreviations . Some English Braille letters, such as ⠡ ch , correspond to more than one letter in print.

The following are guidelines in teaching Filipino Braille Code: 1. Teach first the Filipino Braille alphabet (small and capital) followed by the non-contracted words; 2. Use period, comma, and question marks and capital sign when sentences are introduced; 3. Teach non-contracted in introducing sentences in Grade 1 until Grade 2 4.
