Psychoville is a British psychological horror-thriller black comedy mystery television series created and written by and starring The League of Gentlemen members Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton for the BBC. It debuted on BBC Two on 18 June 2009.
A blind Yorkshire castle owner is systematically robbed, probably by his new social services-assigned community service condemned assistant Michael Fry. Scary, unsuccessful clown Mr. Jelly blames his professional state on the presumed sender of the note, Mr. Jolly. A midget does well as an actor but not in love.
For the survivors new mysteries abound, and new questions must be answered. A chilling message draws five seemingly disparate characters into a dark tale of blackmail and desire in this cliff-hanging comedy from the creators of The League of Gentlemen.
