The beloved actor had a recurring role on Last Man Standing as Bud Baxter, the father of Allen's Mike Baxter.
He played Bud Baxter, father to Tim Allen's Mike Baxter, on the ABC (later Fox) hit comedy Last Man Standing. Forster was also a motivational speaker.

The actor was known for his many roles in TV and movies, the most notable being Jackie Brown, The Descendants, Twin Peaks, and Breaking Bad.

Robert Wallace Forster, Jr. is an American actor, known who his known best for his roles as John Cassellis in Haskell Wexler's Medium Cool, He portrayed Bud Baxter, the role of Mike's father in Last Man Standing. Forster was born in Rochester, New York and is, the son of Grace Dorothy (née Montanarella) and Robert Wallace Forster, Sr.
Forster died on October 11, 2019, in Los Angeles, California, aged 78. His last film, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019), was released on the day of his death. He is survived by four children (Bobby, Elizabeth, Kate and Maeghen), four grandchildren (Tess, Liam, Jack and Olivia), and his long-time partner, Denise Grayson.
