A previous study in Indonesia revealed pediatric sepsis mortality of 37.3–38.5% [ 3, 4 ].
After giving informed consent, 1,582 community-acquired sepsis patients were enrolled. The enrolment target was reached for Thailand and Viet Nam (750 patients [375 children and 375 adults] per country). A total of 82 patients (16 children and 66 adults) were enrolled in Indonesia.
