     You've run into a subtle scoping problem. When you create a function that refers to variables from a containing scope, the value of those variables isn't fixed at the time of function definition, but at the time of function execution. In other words, when you do this:

     command = lambda: print(index) -

     You're telling Python to print whatever the value of index is when the function is called. By the time a user pushes one of those buttons, causing the function to be called, the value of index is 35.

     To fix the value at the time of function definition, you have to use default values, like so:

     command = lambda x=index: print(x)-

     I'm sure you can figure out the corresponding show_word fix, but just in case:

     command = lambda x=index: Cell.show_word(the_pairs[x])-

     When you call update() in the main application loop, then revealed tiles will be covered after 2 seconds.

     But you can add a cover_tile method, too:

     class Tile:- # [...] def cover_tile(self): self.covered = True

     If matching tiles share the same image (self.image), then matching tiles can be identified by comparing the images. e.g.: (In the following tileA and tileB are instances of Tile)

     You could increment count whenever you replace an underscore with the correct the letter. That way, count will be equal to the number of letters correct in the word so far.

     To be more clear, move count += 1 to be in the if statement when you replace underscores with the actual letter.

     One problem I see with this is you're giving the player the first letter and initializing count to 1. I don't know why you're doing this, but if the first letter occurs more than once, it won't be reflected in the word, and the player will still have to guess that letter anyways.

     Your counter is reinitialized to 0 at each iteration because it is inside your loop.

     while not stop: games_count = 0 ...-

     Instead, initialize it outside the loop.

     games_count = 0while not stop: ...-

     As a sidenote, you might want to look to other implementations of rock-paper-scissor that do not rely on a big list of if-statement.
